I was just about to do my workout for today here in my studio and thought that you can benefit from a tip for Thanksgiving Day.
 
Where I come from (the other part of the world) I dont think we have a specific day for that. That does not mean that we are not thankful but I really dont think we need to have a day just for that. You know why?
 
Because the way I see it if we have such a day implies that we need to be thankful only on it which would set us up for failure.
 
I will not insult your intelligence, I know that already aware that we should be thankful every moment of our lives. But are we really?
 
Try to enjoy and be thankful about every single thing. It was given to us as a gift and we should treasure it. But in the midst of our busy lives we often forget and take it for granted.
 
We often forget and in most cases not even aware or how people live in other parts of the world. Like it or not, we are spoiled.
I dont mean to ruin the holiday for you but on this planet there are people that barely have only bread and water on their table (if they have a table). They dont even have chairs to sit, not to mention that they do not even know that TV exists. Think about how luxurious we live.
 
Why am I say this to you? To keep you humble and appreciate the country you live in because as much as difficulties we have here it is by far the #1 place you can make dreams come true. People from other places of the world call it the land of the opportunities. Everybody dreams to come here so lets be thankful for it because we are lucky to be here and not where there is only bread on the table.
 
Now lets get to the tip.:)))
 
Start planning right now. The holiday is coming up and by all means enjoy your meal but eat healthy from today all the way through next Thursday so if you eat a little more dont beat yourself up for it. You should build cheat days in your nutrition plan anyways, so let Thanksgiving be your cheat day.
 
But eat sensible and healthy up until then and make that meal something that you are really looking forward to in one week.
One day will not sabotage your fitness plan.
Remember to get any unhealthy leftovers out of your house afterwards though. Try to get some exercise the next day. It will make you feel better about yourself and you will be away from the leftovers if they are still not in the garbage.:)
 
So stay humble and healthy.
